- Recently I went to see a circus here in Atlanta, Barnum & Bailey. Here are the pictures.
- I recently joined a wonderful group: the Atlanta chapter of NAAAP (National Association of Asian American Professionals). The group holds MANY parties, career development events, sports gatherings, social hours, etc. You should consider joining it too!
- Speaking of which, Happy Mardi Gras holiday. NAAAP will have a huge Mardi Gras party this weekend! Please come.
- I just became the Secretary of the group.

- Happy New Year, 2001.
- My job: Working at TriZetto Group (Nasdaq: TZIX) has been EXTREMELY busy, as a project manager for a very important client. I have no free time now.
- Recent cities that I have been to: Minneapolis, Boston, New York, San Francisco (near Napa Valley), etc. I will post many pictures onto this site in the next few days. ^_^

- I went back to Asia for a trip two weeks ago. Here are pictures from that trip and the entire story about it.
- I just started working in my new job -- The Trizetto Group, a heathcare information systems company, as Manager of Transformation Services (i.e. e-strategy consulting), and still traveling a lot.
- This past week I was in Boston; this coming week I will be going to Minneapolis, MN. Stay in touch; I will share more pictures.

- This past Thanksgiving, ACCC Young Adults / college group friends held a holiday party at my house (event #5 this year, I LOVE it!) About 30 people showed up. Several great friends spent the entire day cooking (THANKS to Jessie, Elma, Charleen, Jennifer, Harry, Cecil, Irene, Rebecca, and more people!) Here are several pictures from that party, along with how my own family celebrated Thanksgiving.

- Two Fridays ago, 2000-Nov-3, my company had to eliminate a lot of jobs. My name unfortunately was among that list of people. Therefore, I am currently in the process of searching for a new job. I will keep you posted of the latest good news. ^_^ I thank God for giving me strength and basic needs during this difficult time, and thank my friends (specially Atlanta Chinese Christian Church friends, and my Daily Devotional friends for their words of encouragement.
  
  This is a hard time for a lot of internet related companies -- many companies have run dry on their expenses. So I do not take this personally.

- I just celebrated my birthday this past weekend, with SEVERAL activities. Birthday-related pictures , about 30 pictures.
- Tomorrow is Taiwan's (my home country) national day. Happy birthday, Taiwan!
- 3 years ago yesterday, my grandfather passed away. I miss him and wish that his soul is resting well in heaven ... He will be happy to know that I am doing okay now.

- I just made a short trip to Taiwan recently. here are the pictures that I took there.
- Tomorrow is my 30th birthday (notice how I don't hide much about myself on my website? ^_^ ).
  I take this time to reflect on life, on my decisions, on things that I have no control over, and on things that I am thankful for. I probably will write a small section about that later. ^_^

- Since I will be leaving this project soon (3/7 - 9/25), I took a lot of pictures of downtown Milwaukee and river-front area. I also visited Six Flags Great America amusement park yesterday. All of the pictures (59) are here, with thumbnails and explanations.

- Yesterday, my two great friends Debbie and David were married in Atlanta Chinese Christian Church. A lot of their friends and family members came to Atlanta to participate. 8/7/2000, Monday:
- This past weekend I just went to Los Angeles for a weekend get-away. I love that city -- the mountains, the beaches, Chinese food, the dry climate. Here are some pictures that I took -- including many general pictures, and a few others for the Long Beach Dragon Boat competition. (I earned a lot of Delta Skymiles on this trip ... 10,000 to be precise. Also, I was fortunate to have been upgraded both ways to, uh, first class. ^_^ )
7/29/2000, Saturday:
- Today the ACCC (Atlanta Chinese Christian Church) Young Professional group just went to whitewater rafting. Pictures are available here. (24 in all, thumbnail and explanations.)
  - Price: $41 per person
  - Driving distance from Atlanta: about 2 hours.
  - Location: Ocoee river, Tennessee (location of 1996 Olympics' Kayaking competition). Lower Half of the river.
  - Duration of trip: 2 hours on river, 3 hours overall. (8:30am safety briefing, 9am equipment & bus trip to river. 12noon back.)
  - Difficulty: Class 3 and 4 rapids. Only 1 person today from our group of 20 fell out of boat.
7/23/2000, Sunday:
- These past two weeks, my family came to visit New York City, and my cousins and church friends also came to NY. I took a lot of pictures, as always. Click here for the pictures. (77 pictures, with thumbnails and brief descriptions.)
- I should also tell you the good news that, on 4th of July day, I got a new used car: a BMW 3-series car. Black, 2-door, 190 HP, automatic sun roof, 6-CD, leather, etc etc. I will tell you more about it.
7/9/2000, Sunday:
- Three events happened in the past 3 days: I went to Milwaukee for a one-day trip for my client, the ACCC Young Adults fellowship celebrated our friend Jeff So's birthday with a dinner, and the same group held a potluck dinner party in my new house (the first one ever in my house!).
  The party in my house was great. Lots of people came -- about more than 30 people? We had a lot of foods, dancing on the Sony Playstation, dancing to Napster music, watched the Yankees-Mets baseball game, etc.

- I just came back from this year's Southeastern Chinese Summer Retreat, English Camp (Also Known as Shocco2000). Click here to see all of the 130+ pictures here.

- Previous weekend, my cousin Wendy and my good friend Alvin got engaged. So this past weekend Alvin's parents came to Atlanta to celebrate with Wendy's family and my family. Several pictures are available here. The location is Buford Dam, Georgia.
5/30/2000, Tuesday:
- I just came back from a Chinese-American Christian retreat in Colorado mountains. I used to live there 3 years ago, for half of a year. So it is really great to go back and see them. Pictures from that retreat are available here -- 77 pictures in thumb-nail format.
- Also, pictures from ACCC Spring Hiking trip are available here. The location is Buford Dam, Georgia.
4/12/2000, Wednesday:
- The project in Milwaukee is going well. Now I am spending more time in New York city now, in our office here.
- I just sold the Porsche 924 sports car which I brought back from Colorado, to someone in Atlanta. Sold for close to the original price.
- For spring break -- I flew my younger siblings from Atlanta to Milwaukee, and then to New York. It was kinda rushed for Stephanie and Alex, but I hope they enjoyed it.
- Dad just had his 60th birthday celebration this past weekend! I bought him lots of gifts ... bowling ball, bowling ball bag, baseball glove and baseballs.
- About the cancelled wedding ... Anita came to USA, and then decided that she wants to go back to Taiwan. This did not work out for several reasons:
  - She wanted to be around lots of people, foods, friends, things to do. Atlanta was less that what she expected.
  - Anita's relatives in Taiwan and here all kept on saying how "bad tempered" she is, and what a hard time I will have as a new husband. Whether they were joking or serious, Anita was really hurt to hear it.
  - Anita and I have different spending patterns: for example, the car that we bought together for her, she was not happy about. She wanted something very specific (2 door, automatic shift, automatic window, CD player, Honda, Civic, silver or green, not older than 4 years). Even if we bump into anything like that, it was very expensive still. So when we chose a Mazda 626, silver, 4 door, automatic everything, she thought that I sacrificed her needs and did not care about her.
  - Anita did not want to spend time with my parents at all, not even for short family meals.
  - Anita thinks that she and I have very different views, on issues such as: staying in touch with other people that she dated before; how I try to make everyone happy; showing affection in public
  - When the church decided to marry us, the pre-marriage counseling took place in a hurry. It was a lot of things for Anita to swallow all at once. Plus the concurrent planning for 2 large ceremonies gave us very little time to spend together.

I miss her alot. We did not have an argument at all. She will not talk with me on the phone for more than a few sentences. She is very happy to be back in Taiwan, and now has gone back to school. I feel very lonely nowadays, specially as I walk down New York city streets and ride through the subways. Her parents (all relatives, actually) sympathize with me, and tell me to forget about her. Well, thanks to my strong faith, support structure and professional advances, I am holding up okay. Feel free to ask me more about anything at larry@larrylin.org .

3/18/2000, Saturday:
- Currently staffed on a project in Milwaukee, MI. I will be there for about 2+ months, and coming home every week for 3-6 days OR going to New York.
  Pictures for Milwaukee and New York are available.
- I will tell you folks more about what happened to the postponed/cancelled wedding later on.
2/21/2000, Monday:
- I just came back from Taiwan, for a 10-day Chinese New Year celebration. I spent a lot of time with Anita's whole family.
- Chinese New Year in Taiwan means -- lots of wonderful food, family gatherings, children running around, riding the train to Taipei and Shee1-man2-ding1 (west gate village); fireworks non-stop; and many red envelops filled with spending money. ^_^
- Also, very important events -- bought a car for Anita (Mazda 626, used car but VERY impressive, comfortable); closed on the new house (i.e. we own it now!); bought lots of everything for the new house. Wedding will take place this weekend.
- I recently was sent by my new company to Munich, Germany! ^_^ Talk about everything exciting -- Mercedes-Benz everywhere; BMW everywhere; big beer and big bratwurst (sausage); lots of Delta Skymiles; etc. Pictures are available at this link (thumbnail-treated for quick access).
1/25/2000, Tuesday:
- One of the recent trips that I did not post on this site yet: Before I left Colorado, I went to Arapahoe Basin (A-Basin) to ski. It is the highest ski resort in the entire North America continent! Several ski runs are above tree-line, i.e. where trees stop growing. It is really impressive. Here are the 54 pictures, which also include pictures of me leaving Colorado (packing up, seeing Chinese Church friends one last time, and flying away).
1/24/2000, Monday:
- Several exciting news!
  - New House. I just signed the contract on a new house!! I will tell you more about it.
  - Started at New Company. 1/10 I started as Senior Technical Strategist in the new company, AnswerThink Consulting Group.
  - Trip to Germany. My new company just sent me to a one-week project in Munich, Germany. It was an awesome trip -- my one-person presentation was extremely successful (thank God!); clients loved it, and asked me to go back for more. The highlight has got to be -- I had to translate a 190-page technical document to know about their system; thanks to www.freetranslation.com, everything was free and completed in one night. ^_^ Here are the 85 pictures from the trip, in a thumbnail presentation.
  - ACCC Winter Retreat 2000. Here are the pictures from Winter Retreat 2000, Camp Cohutta Springs in Georgia. Also in thumbnail format.
1/3/2000, Monday:
- Sorry I have not been updating this site as much; I did many things recently:
  - Attended an E-Commerce convention in New York City, 12/13 - 12/17. www.ebusinessexpo.com.
  - Hosted Anita and her mom, who visited Atlanta and Colorado Springs right after Thanksgiving, for two weeks.
  - Got REALLY busy with wedding planning, e.g. DJ, county paper works, rental place, restaurant reservation, invitation design, guest list, honeymoon planning! Now just about everything is ready. For details and latest dataes, please visit www.larrylin.org/wedding.
  - Placed my resume on www.monster.com, got MANY job offer information, and switched to a new job that requires significantly less travel (more about this later. Start date is 1/11/2000.)
  - Updated my resume, and placed it on-line.
  - Tried to sell my car, Porsche 924S, on www.EBay.com and the Colorado Springs newspaper. Did not get good offers for it.
  - Celebrated Christmas and New Year with family members: Georgia ski trip (yup, there IS ski resort in GA!), elaborate dinners, ordering out from my favorite Chinese restaurant in Atlanta (Yen Jing, 770-454-6688), Y2K preparations, trimming the tree, the count-down, etc.
- Happy New Year to you. I hope your new year will be prosperous; that you will remember to thank people often, and they will do the same for you. ^_^
11/24/99, Wednesday:
- I just came back from Seattle and Portland this past Monday. After my assignement there, I stayed in the Pacific Northwest for an extended weekend, on my own expenses.
  - Slept in a hostel, the "Green Tortoise Hostel" in Seattle. For $19 a night, I had to put up with someone in my room who snored a lot.
  - Visited St. Helens Volcano, which erupted back on 5/14/1980. You will see some of the pictures here.
  - Also, visited the Museum of Flight, right across from Boeing Airplane Company. Lots of airplanes there.
  - Went to the Public Market in Seattle -- right next to the Hostel -- that is a market area full of small stands.
  - Finally, on Sunday night, I visited the "Space Needle" tower. Too bad the pictures did not show up. =(
  - Here are some of the selected pictures. I am in 2 of the pictures.

- I am in Portland, Oregon for a project. It is a rainy city that is very beautiful to visit. Check out these picturese.

- This past Sunday, my whole family went to Buford Dam (Lake Lanier) notheast of Atlanta. We went to see the fall changing colors -- it was a very beautiful place! Take a look a the pictures.
- Also -- I have found a wonderful website that helps with ALL of wedding plannings! Check it out at www.theknot.com. All of the to-dos and budgeting tools.
10/20/99, Wednesday:
- I moved into a new apartment here in Colorado Springs! It is a corporate apartment, where I do not have to pay. It is very nice ... drop by when you get a chance to! We can go snow-skiing, mountain-biking or just sight seeing. Here are the pictures.
- I bought a car last night: a 1987 Porche 924 S! I will write more information about it later, but here are the pictures.
  - 0 - 60 MPH: about 9 sec.
  - 147 HP.
  - Black exterior.
  - Only $3000, wow!
10/10/99,Sunday:
- From Taiwan: Anita and I were engaged! 30+ friends and relatives came to our small banquet. I will share more about it after I return to USA end of this week. ^_^

- I have taken a lot more pictures here in Colorado. It just snowed for the first time this year 2 days ago! But now everything is sunny, celar-skies and warm again.

- My friends Eugene and Alison Liang just got married yesterday here in Atlanta. Here are the pictures.

- Please come to my Wedding page!! I will be married soon -- at the age of 29, I think I have waited to just the right time. ^_^
- Right now I am in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This is where I lived 2 years ago! I am sooooooo happy to be back here, for a training session at ChannelPoint.

  - I arrived here on Tuesday 9/7. I will be here until 9/22, the end of my training.
  - They are training me to become well-versed with how to install their software... then later, they may send me to their customers' locations to install the software. My company, First Consulting Group, continues to make money as I help ChannelPoint.

- I continue to work on this project here ... in Memphis, Tennessee. The client this time is the "Regional Medical Center of Memphis".
- Recently, my entire family and our relatives from Taiwan visited St. George's Island in Florida (near Tallahassee.) I once again took way too many pictures ... here they are.

7/27/99, Tuesday:
- I am in Washington DC right now. I visited Lincoln Memorial, The Metro (DC's rapid rail system), The Mall (not a shopping mall but an open grassy area), Georgetown University, etc. Too bad that I did not have enough time to see more of the city.
  
  Oh, I am here for a company meeting in Vienna, Virginia area. I am flying home to Atlanta later tonight. Delta airline is cool.
7/19/99, Monday:
- My friends from Denver (where I used to live from 7/97 - 12/97, and who I went to church with) came to Atlanta to attend a wedding ceremony: Joe Tsai's wedding, who lives in Denver now but just got married in his home in Augusta. I took Lawrence, Becca and their friends to see some places in Atlanta: Stone Mountain, Toyotaya Japanese Buffet, Krispy Kreme, Georgia Tech, Buckhead ... As always, here are the pictures to show you these trips.
7/13/99, Tuesday:
- I went to San Jose and San Francisco this past weekend. Here are the pictures.
  - Thursday morning, I flew from Atlanta to San Jose airport.
  - I picked up my rental car there ... Avis's convertable, black Chrysler Sibring XL convertable.
  - Lunch, met up with my ICQ friend at San Mateo -- Japanese restaurant.
  - Afternoon -- Worked entire afternoon in FCG San Francisco / Oakland office, for my client.
  - Evening -- drove to the Hostel ($16 a night!!) in Half Moon Bay ... Lighthouse overlooking the cliff and Pacific Ocean!
    (Foggy, cool, windy. Beautiful scenary.)
  - Dinner at a nearby Chinese restaurant.
  - Friday 6am - 4pm, worked in the FCG office again!
  - Checked into Woodfin Suites... and dinner with Nelson from ACCC. Hot Pot City (BBQ, hot pot, shaved ice!)
  - Then drove around to see park, San Mateo Bridge, Dumbarton Bridge.
  - Picked up other ACCC people in the airport at midnight.
  - Saturday, morning: attended wedding ceremony.
  - Noon: came back to hotel and got a deep tan by the pool.
  - Afternoon: went to Canaan Taiwanese Christian Church to see my friends!
  - Night: Drove with many ACCC Young Adults to Pier 39 (and other places).
  - Sunday: Drove friend to SJC airport.
  - Played drums at CTCC (yipee!) ("Not Be Shaken" "One Voice")
  - Afternoon: Korean lunch; Found a hotel near SJC airport; Played basketball w/ CTCC guys!
    (SCORCHED by the sun.)
  - Night: Slept really early.
  - (Monday: 6:30am flight to Washington DC.)
7/5/99, Monday:
- I just came back from Shocco '99, the annual Chinese-American Christian retreat in the South-eastern USA. (A retreat is a place where we go, see long lost friends, enjoy the beautiful outdoors in the wilderness, sing songs, play sports, eat cafeteria-style food and sleep in cabin-like rooms.)
  
  This time I have really out-done myself -- a total of 356 pictures and 15.6MB, that is a lot of pictures. But you can:

6/14/99, Monday:
- I just arrived in New York City. My sister and I drove from Atlanta to here ... 900 miles, 2 tanks of gasoline, 15 hours. This is so that my sister can have a car to drive here, and that I can help her with moving to a new apartment. I will be here for one more day then will go to my project in Michigan. I probably will should you some of the pictures soon; I took a lot.
- My younger brother Alex just graduated from elementary school last Wednesday!
- Alex and I went to Lake Lanier waterpark on Thursday.
- I just got a 8MB memory expansion chip for my Epson PhotoPC digital camera. So now I can take 80 pictures each time before needing to download, compared to 20 pictures before.

- I am currently at the Colorado area Chinese christian retreat. It is being held in the YMCA facility of Rocky Mountain National Park (Estes Park) around Denver. Here is the location for all of the picture.
5/9/99, Sunday:
- Yesterday, my company's softball team just won an amazing victory! We came back in the bottom of the last inning, down by about 10 points ... and snatched a surprise 13-12 win! I played in the left outfield and 1st base. Here are some pictures from this event.

4/27/99, Tuesday:
- This time, I had a lot of fun working in Flint. I got a rental car that is a SUV (sports utility vehicle, 4x4) -- the GMC Jimmy -- which I took to off-road mud driving. ^_^ Then, just an hour ago, I stopped by Ann Arbor (University of Michigan) and had a quick dinner and drinks with my ACCC friend, Josh Wang. Here are some of the pictures.
4/26/99, Monday:
- This past weekend, my friend Grace got married here in Atlanta Chinese Christian Church. Here are a few pictures. (8 pictures)
- As of this past weekend, I just updated this entire website to change the navigation around.
- I just got cable modem going into my house, from Comcast. It is not as fast as I thought it would be, though ... shared bandwidth, plus internet congestion at other places.
4/8/99, Thursday:
- My brother and two sisters and I just went to Salt Lake City this past weekend. We had a wonderful time there skiing at Park City.
- I am back in Atlanta now. I am only working in Flint Michigan two days per week.
3/29/99, Monday:
- Hi ... my project in Silicon Valley has concluded for now. Today, I am in Flint, Michigan -- home of General Motors. I am here to work in a hospital setting, helping with SQL Server 6.5 database administration (DBA). More info to come after I get back to my hotel later....
3/19/99, Friday:
- I visited my beloved sister this past weekend in New York City. It was a great time ... Saw Phantom of the Opera, De La Guarda, Central Park, Riverside Park, Time Square, Jewish deli, Korean BBQ, saw beautiful snow ... and saw our two white cats. Only problem was that the return flight was delayed from 4pm to 12 midnight. It was very tiring.
- My new recreation: Yahoo MahJong, AsianAvenue.com and good old Sinanet.com. Try them!

- This past weekend I went to Lake Tahoe to ski, along with the excellent friends at the Canaan Taiwanese Christian Church Young Adults fellowship. It was a great time ... lots of snow, snow fight, tubing, poker games, singing, pictures! Here are about 100 pictures from this event.

- My sister just came to visit me, here in San Francisco/Silicon Valley. We went to many places, including Chinatown SF, Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, Alcatraz Island, Ghiradelli chocolate factory, North Beach, Stanford University, San Jose chinese restaurants, etc. Click here to some pictures from this trip.
- Happy New Year, the year of Rabbit. I performed Lion Dance and Dragon Dance in Atlanta last weekend, playing the drum and cymbal. Sorry, I have no picture from this year. But if you want to hear more about please write me.
2/4/99, Thursday:

- I now live in the middle of Silicon Valley / San Jose / Milpitas, for the current project assignment.
- My girlfriend Christina just visited my family in Atlanta & my work in San Francisco for 10 days. We visited some places -- CNN Center, ACCC, SF Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf... And now she is back in England.
1/18/99, Monday:
- This weekend I just attended a church, Canaan chruch. I spent Friday night and Sunday day with them, played volleyball and football. It was a great time and a great bunch of friends. Click here to see the volleyball pictures. ==> Removed 2/22/99.
- Saturday -- I rode the CalTrain into the city, went to Chinatown in downtown San Francisco, got some wonderful lunch ($2.60 for 3 bao-tze and soupy rice), then visited Fisherman's Wharf / Pier 39. Lonely travel, but definitely a lot of sight-seeing.
1/13/99, Wednesday:
- This week, I am in San Francisco. My client is Stanford Health Systems, so I get to work on Stanford university campus... WOW!
- Last week, before I left Atlanta, I attended some special events, including a surprise birthday/going-away party for a good friend in ACCC. Click here to see the pictures from that event. ==> Removed 2/22/99.
- Looks like I will be in San Francisco for about this entire year -- more information to come.

1/4/98, Monday:
- Happy New Year 1999.
- Since I came back to Atlanta, these are what I did:
  - Slept for 2 days! Finally recovered from jetlag.
  - Ate hot-pot dinner with family at home.
  - Attended a wedding at ACCC -- Jocelyn and San Lai.
  - Watched football games -- UGA, Georgia Tech, NFL, etc.
  - Attended ACCC Young Adults New Year Eve party at Jeff So's house.
  - ...

12/24/98, Thursday:
- I just returned from Taiwan today, from my 10-day vacation. I will briefly put a lot of the pictures onto this website, with explanations to each one attached.
- Also: I just completed my project at Los Angeles. I am now back in Atlanta. These past 5 months have truely been a wonderful time spent in thes West Coast.
- Merry Christmas, everyone.
  - For those of you who don't believe in Christianity: I wish that you will have a wonderful & festive time spent with your friends and family.
  - For those of you who are Christians, remember God and his love fo you on this very special day -- celebrate His Son's birthday with joy!
12/1/98, Tuesday:
- I came back to Los Angeles from a 5-day weekend in London and Lincoln, England. I went there to visit my sister and my girlfriend. Some of my family members also went there too. It was somewhat rainy at first, but by the last day it was clear and sunny. We went to eat meals together, visited famous landmarks, toured ancient cathedrals and so on. Here are just a few of the pictures.
- Here is an excellent picture of my girlfriend Christina, taken in Hyde Park in England. She likes this picture the most.
11/23/98, Monday:
- I just came back from a weekend trip to Honolulu & Waikiki, Hawaii. Here are some of the pictures, all named. More will be added soon.
- For the first time, I lived in a Hostel -- and it was a totally awesome and money-saving experience. Got to know some travelling students and young people from Europe, Japan and elsewhere.
- I met up with several friends -- Jerry and Lance and others. Thanks, guys, I had a wonderful time there.

- Also, BIG news -- my sister just spoke to the Queen of England, and shook her hand! Read here for more details. (I am sooooo proud of my older sister Carol.)

11/15/98, Sunday:
- This weekend I went back to Atlanta, home sweet home, after 3 weeks being away (that is how infrequently I go home now -- usually I spend the two in-between weekends in Los Angeles area and travel to another city.)
  
  I arrived Friday 7am, and went straight to the Atlanta office. Then did lunch with past co-workers at ECS Inc., BBQ in a country restaurant.
  
  Evening -- slept a lot, trying to gain some of the sleep back. On the flight I only slept about 2 hours.
  
  Saturday -- slept more! Afternoon went to practice drums at ACCC, and evening gave my parents and siblings 4 tickets to see Cirque du Soleil -- Quidam. They loved it!
  
  Sunday morning -- went to ACCC, had a wonderfuly time worshiping and singing. Afternoon, took brother and sister to home, watched the Atlanta Falcons winning against San Francisco 49ers (yipee!), and took them to the mall to shopping. I also helped parents with Tatung Printing's computer needs.        Now, it is back in the hotel room again, familiar Woodfin Suites in Los Angeles.
  
  Did I tell you that I am about to leave Los Angeles? More details to come.    -- LL in LA
11/8/98, Sunday:
- I just came back to Los Angeles from a weekend in San Francsico area (i.e. Mountain View, San Jose, Sacramento...) I spent time there with a soon-to-be-married couple who were also from Atlanta, and with my BEST FRIENDS from Colorado Springs who I met last year. (Hi Beth, Tae, Ellen and Tony!)
  
  Things that we did include mostly foods: late night dinner, breakfast, barbecue + hot pot grill; also Karaoke and shopping.
  
  San Francisco was rainy, congested with traffic and cold; I like the LA desert-like weather and Colorado's blue skies more.
  
  Pictures -- I have taken more pictures, but probably will not have space or time to share them here. But you can ask me for some if you want; I can email them to you.
11/2/98, Monday:
- Hi -- for this past weekend, I just did a lot of things: Visiting Hollywood and Beverly Hills, drive on Mouholland Highway in California mountains (on my red 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GT, a curvy 53-mile narrow scenic road), drive through Malibu, visited Pepperdine University, played drums at the church here (Cornerstone Community Church), and listened to a Christian Pop/Rock concert -- Jaci Velasquez and 4-Him.
  
  I may be able to put some of these pictures here on my website, I will try. Please come back and visit again soon.
- Last weekend, when I went back to Atlanta, I went to the Networld/InterOp computer show, and drove to the Georgia Mountains to see autumn leaves. We also dined in a all-you-can-eat country foods restaurant called Dillard House (which I HIGHLY recommend!).
  
  Also, my grandmom dropped by Los Angeles on her way back from Taiwan to Atlanta.
  
  I may be able to share some of these pictures with you, but once again, if I have the time and/or the space on my website.
10/18/98, Sunday:
- I just visited Vancouver, Canada this past weekend. I spent time with my friend who I met through internet, plus her landlord and their two lively children. I also met up with my girlfriend's best friend there. For this trip, it started cold and rainy, but soon cleared up. I visited wonderful Chinese foods places (yup, lots of gourmet pictures again), went to Stanley Park to see the ocean and the fall changing leaves, and drove to Grouse Mountain right outside of Vencouver city. Feel free to browse through the following pictures. (105 pictures.)
10/12/98, Monday:
- My enitre family just visited Los Angeles this past weekend. They arrived Friday night. Then: Chinese dinner at Cerrito, stay at Woodfin Suites, morning trip to Huntington Beach pier (pier, surfers, fishing), Long Beach (Queen Mary, FCG), Rosemead (little taipei #2, shopping), ChinaTown, Santa Monita (sunset, 3rd Street Promonade), Rosemead (Chinese church), the Foothills (friend's house, sheep, dogs, dinner).   p.s., the round-trip airline tickets on Continental Airline really was $99 round trip, from Atlanta to Los Angeles.
10/7/98, Wednesday:
- This past weekend was my birthday, and the Chinese "Mid-Autumn Holiday". I travelled home to Atlanta, and had a great time there. Here are the pictures: of my house, our celebrations, our moon-cake desserts, etc. ==> removed 12/1/98.

9/27/98, Sunday:
- I just went to a Lake Party with my friends here in Los Angeles: Cornerstone Community Church's young adults. The lake party was at Lake Perris. We started driving there after church, after a one-hour drive, arrived there with a total of about 25 people. We jet-skiied, barbequed, ate a lot of snacks (Thanks, Jolie!), sang songs, played some games, and watched sunset in the desert cloudless sky. 9/24/98, Thursday:
- Last Sunday afternoon, some of us elementary-school friends here in LA went to the "Taste of Newport" festival. It is a blocked-off, road festival with many booths of gourmet food. It was expensive though -- $9 to get in, and $1 per food ticket. (Most booths took 2, 3 or up to 6 tickets per small sample!) Here are the 20 pictures. ==> removed 11/25/98.

- Recently I have been doing a lot of web-enabling of databases: Windows NT Server 4.0, Internet Information Server (IIS), Visual InterDve 1.0, SQL Server 6.5, Access 97, FrontPage 98, etc. If you would like to learn more about it, please get in touch with me.
9/9/98, Wednesday:
- Over the long weekend (Labor Day), my girlfriend Christina came and visited me again, all the way from Taiwan! We drove to Huntington Beach, Long Beach, Monterey Park/Alhambra, Universal City, Rowland Heights (new Little Taipei) and then, Las Vegas and Hoover Dam. You can see some of the pictures here. ===> Removed 10/19.
- I inserted another new Daily Devotional today. Hopefully I will be able to keep it up daily.
